Purchased in the Summer of 2015, Hightop acquired the asset from a non-profit group that no longer had a use for the site. Hightop worked with near neighbors and the Spruce Hill Community Association to optimize the development of the site. In 2016 the property was approved for a mixed use development by the Philadelphia ZBA.
